My Journey

                Dear future self,

My journey began,

With a television show

I didn’t really know much

Such as to pitch a tent, eat outside, sleep outside

But, as I grow older and wiser I’ve learned

To hike for 12 days, and live off the land, camp in places I’ve never thought of

I can say I’ve Interacted with nature in all aspects as I have

hiked through the tough terrain of the Rocky Mountains in New Mexico

camped in below freezing winter in Minnesota and wake up with snow on me

scuba dived in the sandy beaches of the Florida Keys as I woke up on a boat for a week

Without these experiences, I wouldn’t be the young man I am today

As I have earned the highest rank in boy scouts possible

In scouts, we have a moral code we follow,

Scout Law and Motto, that we live by every day.

Sincerely,

Justin Sterling
