My Inspiration

What inspires me?

I find it when I look into those piercing emerald eyes

And those cheekbones that could win a prize.

Or the curly hair that we both share.

She has patience that I could never bear,

And gains strength from her resilience.

Not to mention her independence is pure brilliance.

I’m left amazed at her work ethic.

She provides me a safe haven that leaves me feeling homesick.

But no matter where I am, she’s my biggest encourager.

So my biggest inspiration?

Mom, is simply what I call her.
