My Friend

I am you and you are me.

My best friend,

you are something from a dream.

When you laugh,

my heart smiles,

When your heart aches,

I would walk miles,

to fight your fears,

and drive away evil.

Yes, we will have fights,

filled with ugly, sour words,

Yet, we'll talk,

and most times,

our hugs will win out.

On the countless nights,

when I'm at the brink,

of crying myself to sleep,

you are my voice of comfort,

the one I trust with a locket of secrets,

and you make is so,

I no longer suffer.

Our friendship will last forever,

no matter what happens,

we will depend on each other,

and I will treasure this preciousness,

swear to the heavens above,

that I love you ever so.

My friend,

our meeting is one in a billion,

and although we may not see each other,

I think back to the days,

I'm grateful, I wasn't lonely,

over and over.

My friend,

our meeting is one in a million,

and although we may not see each other,

I think back to the days,

when I'm grateful, I wasn't lonely.
