My Forever

What moment in your life

would you like to relive

over and

over,

back to

back,

for the rest of your living days?

It's ever-changing,

memories dancing around my head,

daydreams entice and seduce so vividly,

they may as well have been true.

Still, no matter the day, decade, millennia.

Still, no matter the characters, setting, tone.

Still, it is always you, forever.

Homecoming.

A shiny white limo that stretches

Nobody can look away.

Finally, to be admired by everyone.

Smiling at you, always you.

Dancing, with you, always you.

A kiss goodnight, maybe a bit

more.

A Ferris wheel.

Only room for two,

me and you,

in a capsule that shelters everything I need in the world.

My eyes on the prettiest sunset in the world,

but still not as much color on the horizon

as your presence gives to my heart.

A big house on a tall hill.

We need nothing else but each other.

A garden where we play in the dirt.

A bed where we cuddle in each other as arms.

A smile that gives me air.

A boy that gives me life.

A library.

I can see you through the shelves.

I admire you, always you,

from

afar.

I can never stay away.

You push a book in my face,

and I lick the pages,

to keep your essence close to me

Forever.
