My flag says I am free.
Free from prejudice based on my color.
Free from others believing I cannot learn.
Free from hurt that comes from unruly tounges.
Free from names that forever caused scars.
Free to educate my being where ever I choose.
Free to feel equal to those people who surround me.
Free to have relationships with whoever becuase my color does not define what I can and cannot do.
Free to feel the pure joy that all men are truly created equal.
My flag as she waves her multi-colored fabric, reminds my nation where we were, where we are now, and where we are yet to go.
My flag reminds me that I am free.
My flag whispers in the wind that I am a lucky one, to feel and be free of the crude nation that she once hung over.
My flag is more than just stars and strips, she is a beacon.
A beacon of where we were, where we are, and where we are yet to go.
