MY Fears

I’m afraid, afraid of disappointing her,

I’m afraid, afraid of destroying.

Her expectation and her hard work.

I’m afraid, afraid of bringing tears,

To the face that should carry a smile.

I’m afraid, afraid to lose her trust,

The trust that she holds dear to her fragile heart.

I’m afraid, afraid of losing her,

To lose her to this world’s cruelty.

I’m afraid, afraid of bringing disappointment,

To the only person that I don’t want to disappoint.

I’m afraid, afraid of destroying her beliefs,

The beliefs that are the success of my future.

I’m afraid, afraid of destroying a star,

The only star that brings light into my life.

I’m afraid, afraid of destroying my only hope,

The hope that guides me and taught me lessons,

That no one else was willing to teach me,

The only that is in the form of

MY MOTHER.
