My Eyes

What do you see when you look in my eyes?

Can you see all the memories that I so strongly despise?

So badly I wish that I could cry.

Or even better, I wish I could get high.

Instead, I sit here in the corner and sigh,

As I watch life around me slowly pass me by.

Would you like to know what I see when I look in my eyes?

I see a soul that I truly despise.

I see a terrified child begging to cry.

I see an old soul too tired to even die.

I see an ocean of pain that I cannot deny.

I tell you these things as I sit here and sigh,

Thinking about how miserable it is to look through these eyes,

As I watch life around me slowly pass me by.
