My Dream of Change

It started with the act of observing all of the occurrences in my community.
This wouldn't have occurred if my eyes were staring at a cell phone screen.
I am thankful because otherwise I would miss the troubled teenagers, and the homeless in the corners of our streets.
A strange scenery but a common one none the least that is ignored by the daily commuter.
That’s when I figured out that my career was going to involve helping my community and the less fortunate.
I want to major in International Relations and help non-profit organizations and be able to help the needy.
I want to be able to have a career I love and impact the world.
I want to start a service teen awareness program in my community at Chicago because I believe that as a teen we need to be aware of our surroundings and help contribute fight off the poverty our city suffers.
As a leader of a non-profit organization for the youth there would be less teens on the streets and teens of Chicago will have a better reputation.
I want to then expand to other areas of need were violence is an issue.
A place we can change to place of peace.
I need to pursue this career because I want to be able to create a group that will bring the change that we need in this world, to raise hopes.
