My Dream

Location

A little girl sits at the kitchen table with her Mommy,

Not even five and this little girl always ties everyone's shoes,

She always shares her snacks,

She always loves with all her little heart.

Her Mommy asks her what she wants to do when she grows up,

She says nothing more than, "I want to help"

Just a few years pass and she's meeting with colleges;

Again, when asked what she wants to do, she simply says she wants to help.

Looking through majors and programs she picks the ones which will help her make a difference,

She picks majors which will spread her love to others.

She dreams of graduation where she can start making a difference.

Maybe she'll go on to help children in foster care,

Maybe she'll help bring clean water to underdeveloped countries,

Maybe she'll reduce hunger all around her,

She doesn't know now, but what she does know is she will make a difference,

She will make a change,

And she will help others.
