A person I most admire, this man;
Mine eyes hath seen the beauty of his face.
And of all others, he is better than;
My dearest friend, he does my heart displace.
My friend, my friend, of this I always hear:
That one should not decide to love a boy
With whom one shares a friendship oh so near;
He has to only speak and I am joy.
And for him, love hath made a fool of me!
I'm like a tiny child who's found new love.
My heart calls out to him in great degree;
It wants and needs his heart and care thereof.
His lack of love for me may never bend;
Yet still, I yearn to always be his friend.
