My Comfy Cage

Mon, 07/01/2013 - 22:20 -- STuley

The outside world is exciting

Frightening even

The sky and sun seem so inviting

Birds chirp happily

When the darkness closes in

The stars become luminous

It is at these times I return

to my comfy cage called "home"

My bed is soft and fluffy

The couch so soothing

Treats abound all around

Television's warm glow

The laundry piles up

as well as the dishes

I do them diligently

in my comfy cage

I suppose the outside world can wait

After all, I'm comfy in my cage
