My close and distant dream

It seems like a simple thing

I want to make the world a more hopleful place

But fear seems to cling

To hinder my steps and throw me off base

I love to learn and I long to heal

My mother and father gave me support and motivation

Being a doctor became so real

The hardships to victories all the way to college graduation

The road is not over quite yet

It is still very long

Applications, graduate tuition and dept

A medical school for me to belong

Am I smart enough, determined enough, selfless enough?

Do I have what it takes?

The road is rough, the profession is tough

A pecular longing awakes

Beyond the anxiety, beyond the doubts

There is a confidence and peace

Beyond the debts with no other routes

Worthy ambission becomes my release
