My Change is Going to Come

Change is going to come for the mother who cries,

Who body is cramped up from the hunger pains deep down inside

And who misses decent meals,

Just to keep her little ones alive

Change is going to come for the teenage girl who rarely sleeps

Next to a troubled man who treats her as nothing more than a piece of meat

Change is going to come for the young boy

Whose battle with cancer is a raging war

And for the old man who sleeps in the rain just because he is poor

Change is going to come for the unemployed citizens

Who live paycheck-to-paycheck

And for the children out in Africa and Haiti

Who has skeletons that we have met

My change is going to come

There is no doubt about that

Giving people a reason to live instead of just living,

What do you think about that?
