My Beautiful Black Rose

Location

you are my black rose,

and i am the red.

while i hold you close to me,

your darkness spreads.

your thorns so sharp,

but stem so small,

i wonder,

are you able to hurt me at all?

your petals wet with morning dew.

i will be your sunshine,

and wipe away those tears for you.

a black rose,

petals like silk,

tell me,

are you an illusion?

are you actually real?

your smell and essence,

they shine so.

while your color unpleasant,

you still manage to grow.

still i sit here,

waiting for light.

while your darkness envelopes me,

happily holding onto me tight.

i embrace this darkness.

corrupting my soul.

for this darkness,

and you,

make me whole.

i will happily be a black rose for you.

i'm not changing myself,

i'm only embracing you.

my beautiful black rose,

so pure and true.

my beautiful black rose,

i'm incomplete without you.
