My Angel
Fog screens my vision.
It consumes my senses.
Whispering resonates my hearing.
Unaware of my surroundings.
I stand within the numb.
Water begins to drop.
It shivers down my spine.
Are these tears?
The fog lifts.
Leaving me in darkness.
Clouds roll in thunder.
They strike in anguish.
I fall to my knees.
Alone in the void.
There is only my breath.
Until the screams begin.
She lives in darkness,
So still,
So cold,
So calm.
Descending to sleep.
Sleeping forever.
Freedom.
Not lost in the void.
An Angel gone.
Fallen to mortality,
But free still.
Not lost in the void.
