Whenever I see blue or black or red or grey

Or feel yellow and orange and pink, I say

"TURN UP THE TUNES!"

So I can dance and twirl and embrace the sounds

Of soothing vibrations

That hug me all around.

As cliché as it may be, music is awesome, 

Upbeat and inspiring.

It can go on forever never ceasing, never tiring.

Like the other end of a see saw,

It picks me up when I am down.

And the thing that is most awesome is

Music can come from anyone or anywhere-

A bird in a tree or a band at a fair.

Music can stop me from crying

And keep me from sighing,

And when I am happy

It almost seems I am flying.

With the sax as my wings,

The keys as the wind,

And the bass as the friend

Who says, "It's alright"

When I think the whole world will end.

Music has been there for so much of my life

And that's why it's awesome-

Because it's there in joy or in strife.
