Music and Me

All I needed

throughout the nights

along the long and winding roads where mind meets soul

is the sweet symphony in my heart

pulsing through my veins

the timpani drums enclosed beneath muscle and tissue

while sounds of screams flee through the walls to find my ears

I delete their existence with a single button

the volume rising as the cadence gains intensity

crescendos into a victorious march

and I escape the fear that had enveloped my soul.
