Mountain

what does it mean to be complete?
is life a school to teach us classes that complete, whether we learn or not?
is it a stairway that we advance to the next step the same way everyone else does?
or is it a mountain?
a mountain with jagged edges and dense thickets, and no paths.
where you can climb the steepest piece of solid rock you can or hack and slash your way to the top?
and anything or everything in between...
i guess no matter what path you take, or create, there are always challenges.
and you can get through it anyway you want.
but although we might be able to climb past a cliff, or cut through a net of thorns,
we are not really completing anything.
and when we get to the top of the mountain, have we completed the mountain?
i guess no matter how many ways you reach the summit, you can always take another another one, or try it in reverse.
and if you reach a point where you want to take a rest,
then do so, because every moment is part of the path, not just every step.
and if you are faced with a challenge beyond your abilities,
will you climb the mountain another day, another way?
or will the rest of your days be a mellow descent?
at some point, we reach a point. where we can camp and watch the sunset,
or watch it from another point, another day.
but no matter what we decide to do,
the mountain is always there, and alive, and has something to offer us.
so maybe what it means to be complete,
is to share what is complete,
the Mountain.
