Mountain

Rise out of the valley beholden with flowers

Steep up the treeline as air grows thinner

Trekking through snow with the summit in sight

Drawing deep strength from some magical powers

Determined that you will emerge the winner

Fantasies tied with vanity and might

But seasons come and go

To the peak a stone’s throw

Despite all mental strength it remains blocked

Obstacles impede all progress is lost

Yet physical rocks are no real matter

Frozen in time your great moment is clocked

Escaping the quicksand too high a cost

Can’t break down siege walls no ram can batter

Your fire’s warm inside

Reality is defied

Frozen outside but internally hot

The fate’s crossroads where life and death do merge

As Angel and Devil battle for your soul

You gamble with dice and cast out a lot

Heave desperate please with their last lively surge

See distant remains of a far off goal

For it will recede

Forever lost indeed
