The Motto

Down in the dumps,

Why should I even get up?

It is not like today is going to be any different,

everything I do seems insignificant.

Everybody is stuck in the same cycle,

not knowing if they are destined or free to wander.

I have made my own conclusion that life has no purpose but

we should not allow that thought to be the focus of our everyday.

I will spend my time being optimistic, try not to frown, and

wave at the strangers around town.

I will stop to smell the roses and be reminded of what hope is, give a

homeless man a couple of bucks without worrying if he will spend it on

drugs or lunch.

I will give life my own meaning and live by the motto [insert your motto here]
