Mother's Apple Pie

Flour, salt, and water.

Don’t forget the Crisco!

Mix it all together

To make mother’s pie dough.

Flour the pastry cloth,

Cover the rolling pin,

Then put the flattened dough

In a pie plate or tin.

Peel and slice the apples,

Mix them with the spices.

Then pour into the plate;

The mixed apple slices.

Bake at four-twenty-five

Then down fifty degrees.

After letting it cool,

Eat with a slice of cheese.
