More than a Pebble

Just a pebble in a sea of gravel

Hiding in the Boulder’s shadow

Unique?

Unseen

Worn down slowly by the cycle of Rain

Stopping and Starting all over again

Unseen

Unique

Blending in while others stand out

Oh so slowly being worn down

Unique

Unseen

Hiding in the Boulder’s shadow

Just a pebble in a sea of gravel

Just a pebble in a racing river

Far too cold to even shiver

Unique?

Unseen

Stuck unmoving in the rapids

Never an object so passive

Unseen

Unique

Far to cold to even shiver

Just a pebble in a racing river

Just a pebble in someone's hand

Sparkling as light touches it

Unique

Seen

Polished clean with cloth and brush

Set in metal with an artist's touch

Seen

Unique

Wrapped gently around someone's neck

Swaying in the breeze as two feet dance

Unique

Seen

Feeling the beat of someone's heart

More than a pebble
