"The Moon"

Clenching this pillow between my claws
Drowning the cloth in sorrows
Gripping so tightly I can't let go
Don't want to see what's in tomorrow
Painfully weep, letting tears stain
As a meloncholy melody follows

Wrapped in sheets, marked of you
I felt betrayed and once again used
For you were never mine
But under your spell I fell victim to
Your aroma lingers in the dark
As I lay so broken with my friend the moon

Asleep to the whispers of the repeated offender
Of the betrayal my heart ensues
Strung along by deceit, beauty of tall tales
A fabled story my mind rapidly drew
So lost in the moment, the heat of passion
Unaware of simply being your muse

It won't be long before tragedy Swallows me whole
Before I go mad on thoughts of you
What proceeds is pure injustice
Something I was never taught through
How could something so beautiful be so tragic
Like me... loving you?
