The Monster

There’s a monster

In this room you ask

Is he bearing a mask?

No I reply

The monster doesn’t

Reside under your bed

The monster doesn’t

Taunt you at night

The monster doesn’t

Have horrendously abnormal features

The monster doesn’t

Have stories that surround them

The monster is in fact

Walking in your streets

The monster is the one

You see battling themselves

The monster is the one

Who may not be aware

The monster is the one

Behind Columbine

The monster is the one

Behind mass murders

The monster is the one behind

Racism,Homophobia,Sexism

The monster is the one

You might least expect to be
