mom

It began with nine months
Now I'm twenty-five
Almost twenty-six
Just the other day you held me in your arms
You laughed you cried told me I was your success story in the beginning it was only a dream
That turned into reality
You almost died to give birth to me
And time has flown by
Now I'm halfway to thirty
You treat me as if I'm still a kid
And that's okay cuz I'm always your kid
When I was twenty-two I drank myself to death and you gave me life once again from that day forward I ain't picked up a bottle
I've made it to twenty-six because of you
