Mom

I can feel it in my heart

I can feel it my soul

I’ve felt it since the day I was born

Some say soulmates don’t exist

Some say love doesn’t last

Some say the world is cold to the bone

But with you I’ve never felt more warm

As long as you’re with me

And I’m with you

Whether that be in body or soul

I’ll never be lonely

You’ve fought for me all your life

When the doctors didn’t know if I’d make it

When I was struggling to learn my ABC’s

When no one wanted to be my friend on the playground

When I didn’t know my self-worth

While I’m forging my path

And when I make my way in the world

And I will fight to make you proud now

I can feel your love for me

In my heart

In my soul

I’ve felt it since the day I was born
