Modern Unicorns

Believe it or not contrary to what unicorns came to be today they were thought up from such sad people. They were made up by fellow humans a long time ago in a faraway town. This town was no ordinary town. The humans here felt no sense of belonging or happiness. The town’s sky was always gloomy and brown. The people would ride their horses up and down the empty grounds. Their expressions were all frowns.

They couldn’t ever stop thinking that one day they would be happy. These humans were full of such sadness. They looked at their horses matching the brown, black, and gray town. They imagined that one day their horses would have had enough and eventually they wouldn’t fit this town. They would become bright with white. They would finally smile with their rainbow eyes, tails, and horns. The humans believed no creature would ever be like them and that they would have such unique magical souls. People made unicorns come alive because there was something missing in their lives.

These humans were missing the feeling of happiness, love, and all the above. People felt sad without the idea that something could obtain happiness that they so longed for. The humans thought that their horses would grow opposite from the sadness and become a majestic creature living out somewhere alongside glitter and rainbows. When these humans imagined their horses becoming happy, it gave them a sense of hope that they could also one day be happy. The idea of unicorns brought such peace that this town needed. Today we still think about unicorns and it provides us with the sense of happiness, and we can stop in our busy lives and think about how we can always choose happiness over sadness.
