Missing You

Missing you, missing you

My heart says again.

I only met you twice

and soon it came to an end.

I never met you once.

Okay maybe four times.

I went to visit you in the ground,

I was not yet 5 years old.

They say you both would have loved me,

especially you.

But a knife came down

that severed me from you.

I've seen pictures,

time and time again.

How cute you two were.

I hope I find happiness like that.

I just wish you were here...

To teach me things like that.

The time I met you,

You called me Kistle.

I'll never forget,

That the hug you gave me,

you would soon forget.

You fought for our country in WWII

Oh how I wish I could've known

a war hero like you.

A Purple Heart,

the greatest honor,

A great way to make a son,

proud of his father.

They say I'm just like you,

When it comes to my habits.

How you say you don't want something,

but when it's offered, you'll have it.

I still have the teddy bear.

It's up in my room.

I hold it real tight

when I want to be close to you.

Day after day,

I live with the pain.

They took you from me

before it was time.

I wish I could have had the chance,

to see you one last time

before you left...

I moved now, I can't even visit.

They took me away,

to this horrible state.

I just want to visit

and place a single white rose

on each of your graves..
