Dead the names of bodies
We will never know,
Fear of getting to know
Each other because in
The hood you are taught
To hate your brother

Dead the names of bodies
We will never know
The death of the black
And the brown in our own
Public school system
Shadowed by the importance
Of “white death” in our country.
A violence so commonplace now overlooked.

Dead the names of bodies
We will never know,
The brown are dying,
the black are dying
Hell even the white’s are dying.

Brothers:

Black,
Brown, and
White
We can no longer overlook
The hood because
Nobody is safe, but you best believe that this heart is waiting

But this waiting is killing us.
We are missing connections.
Connections that can link our hearts together

Will the dead names of bodies
We will never know stay buried
Forever, because
What can kill YOU
Will ALSO
Be able to kill ME.
