Mirror Reflection

As I look in the mirror,

I see a girl that wishes she didn't have to be here.

Through all her unseen tears,

she swears that she'll be stuck here.

As I look in the mirror,

I see a girl who wants some kind of change to happen.

However, she knows that nothing ever will.

She just continues to ask how this all happened.

As I look in the mirror,

I see a girl struggling to breathe.

Grasping for air, she starts hyperventilating.

Suddenly screaming, "I want to leave!"

As I look in the mirror,

I see a girl, broken and shaking.

Overwhelmed and full of stress, she begins having anxiety attacks.

Can you notice she's sufficating?

As I look in the mirror,

I see a girl slowly changing.

Gaining control and refusing to surrender,

She continues to pull herself together.

As I look in the mirror,

I see a girl who is wishing to stay.

Through all her seen tears,

She knows she now belongs here.
