The Million Inspirations

That morning brought sight

There was color

And there was light

It would show me places I had never known

So I kept it safe for later

That noon brought sound

There were speeches

And the voice of a town

It would sing me songs I had never known

So I kept it safe for later

That night brought script

There were letters

And ink to decrypt

It would give me knowledge I had never known

So I kept it safe for later

All day and all night, my thoughts are awake

But as I close my eyes

My imagination ignites

And within my mind

Is the story of a million lives
