Miles Away

Meeting through video games was such a craze,

as I grew to know you, I was in a constant daze.

Your never ending smile with a bright future,

Unfortunately, our broken hearts cannot be fixed with a suture.

You live 1,410 miles away from me,

The true love we found, will never be denied as anything but "meant to be".

the percentage of individuals whom strive for our connection is ninety-nine,

although im young and naiive, I am certain this love is meant to be mine.

With or without distance, A boyfriend, I love you as such,

My heart broke hearing "I'm sorry, the distance kills me, but I love you so much".

Hours and hours on end with no sleep,

all I could ever do is not eat, only weep.

Days later i found motivation,

I convinced my family to move across the nation,

to be with you.

You refused to let me move, I said "Blasphemy!",

you refused to mention moving with my family.

I'm following my heart, I just hope it's true,

Because I can never imagine a world without you.
