Midnight Fury

Drowsily I lie entangled in my sheets

On the threshold of sleep’s comforting arms

Growing weary, when some horrid beasts

   Suddenly begin howling like alarms

They quickly snatch me from rest

And shove me in to fury

How fortunate for the little pests

That I am rather lazy

For if I were to move from bed

They would surely all be dead
