In The Middle

In The Middle

August 31, 2018 ~ Friday

Every person, tall or leaning

Building what they thought was meaning

Sun outside but darkness beating down on an empty city

A city of people without purpose

Driven by all they thought worth it

Worth the pain of every day

Fooled because it’s alright while, really, it’s not okay

Who says the living is easy

Stripped of all you used to need

The living is unbearable

These towers we’ve been slaving on

Striving towards

Come crumbling down upon our heads

Fools, instead, for meeting in the middle
