Mid-life Pondering

Bones are weakening,
blurry eyes for seeing,
head is reeling,
blood pressure rising,
Hence, my youthfulness are vanishing.

A thorny path I trod,
The ups and downs I prod
are all but spices of life,
The bitter-sweet taste,
with a pungent smell,
Leaves you breathless, craving for more, makes you wonder
what's at the end of the line.

Limbs are wobbling now,
Aching back that made me bow,
Living a life to make a vow,
That won't give up no matter how, in this topsy turvy joyful ride of life.

The flowers will linger for awhile and be blown,.
Finding a path of their own,
May forget me for a season,
But in their bossoms, i remain as they've grown.

I see how it thrives, in the ashes of our lives,
For it has been ten by fives,
For the happiness I strive,
Finding it hard to drive,
to reach the dream I dive.

Though this deteriorating body of clay,
Dragging on to another ten year's time,
Clinging through time, to what lies ahead,
Waiting for the glory to shine in this journey called "life".
