we are both carpenters
and two years ago,
you initiated the project
of constructing something so beautiful and
unbreakable
that the forces holding the universe together
would weep in envy.
i accepted the task with you,
and my god,
we have more than succeeded
we have won the world,
and now all i want to do
is tell you “i love you” for all of eternity
until the sheer concept of infinity
can’t even fathom
this life we lead on earth.
