Mexican-American

Just because I wear hoop earrings, lipstick, and have pointy eyebrows instead of round ones doesn’t mean I was looking for trouble. Don’t just look to assume, look to judge or look to figure me out, get to know me as an individual first. I’m not crazy…just Mexican-American.

I know how to behave, I just want my freedom I go to school rather than settling down. I’m not disrespecting my tradition I just want to be accepted from both sides of my people. An 18 year old girl they call stubborn, I just stand my ground and is misunderstood. I make mistakes, don’t we all now?

Life itself isn’t difficult. Life is pretty simple to live and still be happy. But one has to endure the pain of the world, society, and people for a life to be fulfilled with happiness, in dark times, only then will you know our Own Meaning of Life and happiness will one day prevail. My advice? Live with no regrets….not tonight….not tomorrow….not ever…
