Memories of No One

Love is like a gentle breeze

That floats along a Caribbean shore.

A place where I’d like to be with you

But alas I cannot no more.

I sit here on this deserted beach

Basking in the rays of sun. Loosing track

Of days and eves, listening to the sounds of no one.

I wish you could see the sky from here.

The sun gives such and exquisite hue.

I wish you could be here with me

When the sunset shows my favorite shade of blue.

I fall asleep each night without a loving look.

I wake again each morning with no warmth overtook.

Instead of you beside me lays this gentle book.

A place where I write my letters in the hopes

You will one day look.

The beauty of this place surely fades away

As my heart longs to once again see your eyes someday.

My mind slowly grows tired as I wait for you today,

But sometimes you seem so real and I wonder why you don’t stay?

The fluffy white wisps now grow grey

Soon to drop their life support from the sky

I’m still on this beach waiting for you to come

Else they’ll find this book of the memories of no one
