Memories Are All I Need

Sat, 04/16/2016 - 19:19 -- Kitcait

I smile as the waves dance upon the shore,

And the ocean's melody sings softly.

I used to always want more, more, more!

Now I step back and whisper calmly.

This island reminds me of isolation.

My heart longs for the light of another.

I envy all of thes crustaceans.

Crawling with friends, family, and lovers.

Sunset brings a message, I can't have them all.

To have only one here would be selfish.

This isn't the life they would want so small,

But here in my heart none will perish.

All the memories I could not live without.

This one mind I must hold to forever.

Distance brings pain, to the ocean I shout,

But love will refuse to be severed.
