Memories

Memories can change a person

Good ones make them happy

Bad ones make them sad

The more they hold onto the bad memories the more painful their life becomes

That's why the good memories are so powerful

Good memories are like a candle that lights up a forgotten old room in your house

They help you dust off that book, or photo of you and your friends

As years pass and things change memories remain

Those books will fall apart, the photo will fade

But your memories can never fade

They can make one person's life worth living

Or inspire another to care through hearing the memories of others

They can cheer you up and help you keep going

Even when you don't think you can

Like a little angel on your shoulder praising you for a job well done

You keep them stored in your heart like a box

They are your highest most precious things

That no one can take away or destroy.
