Perfection has taken a human form
And you are the beholder
Your love was infinite, you’ve sworn
Now it’s but a cold shoulder.
Forever does not exist
I’m convinced every beginning has an end
No words, no plead, no kiss
Will bring back my lover, my partner, my friend.
There’s a distinction between the present and past
I need to escape fantasy; I need to quit
The past is no longer real; It’s a task
Nor is it valuable enough to dwell on it.
Our experience is something I’ll never forget
For to forget a love is to regret.
