A Matter of Fate

Sat, 01/13/2018 - 12:19 -- navy109

Time seems to tamper the choices we make.

We’re torn by burdens that make us afraid.

We’re seemingly driven merely by fate.

But perhaps now this needs to be conveyed:

What’s in front of us now is not the way

We might travel on the long road ahead.

It’s a matter of whether we should stay,

With profound hope of never being misled.

What we perceive as our purpose today

May quickly become a thing of the past.

Our journey continues without delay,

And our future will be secured at last.

The present, moreover, cannot be chased;

It’s already here, and always in place.
