Mass Desolation

A screaming echos across the sky

Vibrations of the sound seem to rattle everything below the atmosphere,

every creature feeling it's energy

The sun setting below the horizon casts brilliant shades of

citrus orange, soft coral

and deep violet

on the cloud trails it leaves behind

The sight itself is truely unforgetable

Traveling at unbelievable speeds, death is almost upon them

Everyone is in disbelief that their end has come.

Closer and closer evermore, the air spliting sound crescendos.

All eyes are fixed up above,

in awe of it's beauty,

it shock of the reality

and petrified by fear.

A moment before the devestation, the scene depicts beloved children

clutched in their parents arms,

lover's embracing

and tears dripping down the cheecks of close friends.

In an explosion of incredible heat and blinding light,

the place that once was, is no longer.

Down in history, the town will not be known for their

local football team

the dainty shops downtown

or the charming people.

Instead, it will be remembered

for the missile.
