One day in Tennessee
Died a man who had a dream.
The words he spoke in D.C.
Will live on in high esteem.
Fighting for civil rights
To ride buses along with whites.
Many times he was arrested,
But rose a leader most attested.
Without words from this man
The fight for rights would disband.
Still today
He would say.
I have a dream!
