He's a King by name
He used peace as his scepter

Every year my school participates in special events to honor the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. on MLK day in January. This year I was honored with the opportunity to paint a 20' x 40' mural of his image in our school's cafeteria. Because of these experiences, I have further learned about the incredible work and sacrifice he made to bring about Civil Rights. It is an honor to write about him in a poem.
