Marriage

Proverbs 31:10-12 New English Translation (NET Bible)

The Wife of Noble Character

10 Who can find a wife of noble character?

For her value is far more than rubies.

11 Her husband’s heart has trusted her,

and he does not lack the dividends.

12 She has rewarded him with good and not harm

all the days of her life.

Here you are not relaxed, what seems to be your burden?

We’ve been married for over 50 years and you had quite a load

He ain’t heavy, he is my husband, you whisper through your tears

As he goes on and on searching for the often-lost remote

He is quite a sight with different color socks

They’re matching his undies in his search for fashion

It used to be so different now the years just fade away

Dreams replaced by onlyness in search of its passion

Questions roam through thought mixing up heart’s longing

Why did what’s right disappear somewhere in the past horizon?

Flesh roared in selfishness and constantly dug up dissatisfaction

As the material, that was there, got more and more lost in bygones
