Mad at No One

Mad at No One

Mad at no one, not my mother

She does not remember

And it is better that way

Mad at no one, not my father

He is dead and I never even

Knew the man they found in the water

Mad at no one, not the state

They had no idea

And so I just ran, the runner

Mad at no one, not my surrounding

I refust to see the bad

And the past is gone

Mad at no one, not the teachers

For passing me on

I have a brain and

I proved them wrong

Mad at no one, not the white people

Who chose to look the other way

They were afraid and I was too

Mad at no one, and I over came

Thanks to one family

Who believed in me

Mad at no one, because I kept my

Eyes closed to hide the bad

One, two, three I opoened them and the past is gone.
