Lucky

Where do I begin? How should I start?

I guess I'll start with my own heart.

In the past few years, it has been consumed by

Worries, fears, and painful goodbyes.

Most days I feel like nothing, a nobody, just a flower on a wall

No one would even say hi to me in the hall.

I'm worried about my appearance and what others think of me

But I realize now that's not how I should be.

I know it can be tough to focuse on the positive

Especially when most of life tends to get quite negative.

But know this, no matter how bad or horrible or tragic life may seem

There's always hope and love and faith hidden within the seams.

Neither can live while the other survives

Oh Harry Potter quotes, you always perfectly sum up life.

What I'm saying is that without negativity, positivity would not exist.

Yet we would all trade bad moments for one of pure bliss.

So take heart, my comrades, be not afraid

For life's curveballs are nothing more than a game.

Yes, bad times are inevitable and they will knock on your door

But greet them with a smile, knocking them down on the floor.

You're Lucky to be alive, be thankful for that.

That's all I have to say so I'll tip my hat.
