Lovestruck poets say, "

Love seems barely out of reach

The distance steals away my speech

I stared, silenced with resolute joy

With all the hope mustered as a boy

I sprinted to clear the gap

Without guide direction or a map

I thought for a second I'd reach my goal

My heart was light and yet so full

I was not recieved

And so I slipped to darkness grey

blinding myself to a new day

there were no more words left to say

only dim hopes to feebly pray

I have climbed back to the start

With hardened skin & a protected heart

Love seems miles and miles out of reach

As the horizon is to those on the beach

I am wounded and cannot swim

But surely this time, If I failed, I'd drown

Maybe I need to look more inland and leave this hope forsaken town."
