Love you say?

Darkness, sin, selfishness They all surround.

Oh familiar darkness, my friend.

But wait! What is this that approaches? That which burns my eyes?

Light you call it? Love you call it?

It comes closer, a figure forms, a single man.

Jesus you call him? Innocent you say?

Well then, why does he carry that cross if he is innocent?

Love you say? Sacrifice you say?

Inconceivable!

Shhh… what said he? His voice was faint.

Did you hear? Tell me!

He forgives them! While on the cross?!

Why does he say this? Why does he forgive?

Love you say again? —foolish man!

Everyone knows grudges and hatred are much easier.

Yes, much easier indeed.

Why do you look at me that way?

Of course I’m right… there is something about that man though…

Something kind you say? Yes, I suppose you could call it that.

Patient you say? Yes, I suppose so.

Compassionate? Yes, he is.

Love you say again? Yes, love.
